Shows, organized by Felis Belgica, follow the rules and regulations of FIFe.
FIFe shows have 4 categories:
Category 1: Longhair & Semi-longhairs, judged by colour
Category 2: Semi-longhairs, judged in colour groups
Category 3: Short hairs
Category 4: Oriental & elegant breeds, Rexes and Naked breeds
For every category, Best in Show awards are reached out to the best female, best male, best female and male neuter, best junior and best kitten 4-7 months.
Besides those, we know: Best Housecat, Best Veretan, Best litter
Start of the BIS is around 15h30.
The end of the show is in general 18h00, exept when the BIS is not yet finished.

All cats, showed on FIFe-shows, should be registered in the pedigree of a FIFe-club. Allowed exeptions:
- cats of exhibitors, whome aren't member of a FIFe-club
The minimal age of cats on show is 4 months
The claws of the cats have to be clipped before arriving at the show hall.
Cats with ID-Tattoo are accepted for show.
All housecats, older than 10 months, have to be neutered.
Cats which are not touchable, recieve a yellow card from the judge as a warning. When a cat recieved 2x a yellow card on a FIFe show, this cat will be prohibited to take part of future shows.
- All cats must be vaccinated against catflew and cat disease. The vaccination must be min. 15 days old.
- Foreign cats must be vaccinated against rabies. The vaccination must be min. 21 days old.
Foreign cats must be chipped.
White cats must have a veterinary certificate of not being deaf.
If it is noticed during the show, that a cat has symptoms of disease, the cat will be removed from the show hall, together with all other cats of the same exhibitor.
Veterinary control: from 7h00 - 8h00
A cat must be shown in the correct class. For the higher classes, having obtained a FIFe-title is obligatory.
As soon as the cat has gained the required certificates (only FIFe certificates are valid) for the registration of a higher title, it is obligatory to show the cat in question in that higher class, according to the title.
Exhibitors, which are not member of a FIFe-club, can only register for the following classes:
- kittens (4-7 months)
- juniors (7-10 months)
- open class (from the age of 10 months)
- neuter class (from the age of 10 months)
entry for higher classes is only possible when being a member of a FIFe-club.
Titles: cfr. title registration for the required certificates.

Size of the cages: 65 x 66 x 66 cm.
Each set of cages has doors between them which can be opened to enlarge the cage. Sets exsist out of 2 or 3 cages.
It is forbidden to exhibit following cats on a Felis Belgica show:
- wild cats
- breeds, which originate from a genetical dissease (dwarfism, fysical defects, ...) as there are e.g. the Munchkin and the Scottisch Fold
- outcrosses from wild cats or hybrid cats from the generations F1 to F4.
It is forbidden to remove cats from the show hall before the end of the show, unless there has been a special permit granted by the show manager. Early departure leads to disciplinary measurements, i.e. exclusion from Felis Belgica shows for the rest of the calendar year and withdrawal of the obtained certificates on the show.
The statement "for sale" is not allowed
Following cats are not allowed:
-pregnant or lactating cats
cats with cut tails or ears
Checklist for the show
• Vaccination passport with valid vaccinations / EC passport (for foreigners)
• prove of entry / payment
• disinfectant to clean the cage
• floor cover inside the cage
• Curtains: obliged in every cage
• something to cover the cage if needed
• plastic or netting for the front of the cage
• cat litter with grit
• drink- and food-bowel
For the catt:
• grooming products / brush / comb
• wash towel (in case the cat is dirty) / paper
• plastic bag (for feces)
• chair and small table if needed
• food and drinks (also available in the show hall)
• money (to buy cat stuff)
• good mood
